Protect kidney health

27-03-2024

The human body usually has two kidneys, one on each side, shaped like broad beans, often described as the "source of life", responsible for filtering blood, removing waste, maintaining water and electrolyte balance, and ensuring the stability of the human internal environment. The normal operation of other organs depends on the overall homeostasis of the internal environment. Once the internal environment is unbalanced, all organs will be implicated and even go to failure.

Chronic kidney disease is a serious disease threatening human health. Currently, on average, one in ten adults worldwide has chronic kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease is known as the "silent killer", there are many patients in the early stage and no obvious symptoms, when the physical discomfort is found, the disease might have developed to the late stage. Some symptomatic patients may present with foamy urine, hematuria, unknown fatigue, loss of appetite, and elevated blood pressure.

At present, the common kidney diseases include diabetic nephropathy, chronic glomerulonephritis and hypertensive nephropathy. Therefore, diabetic patients, chronic infections of repeated respiratory tract, urethra and intestinal tract, patients with high uric acid, patients with hypertension and the people over 65 years old are high-risk groups of nephropathy. When kidney gets damaged, it is irreversible. But through early detection and timely treatment, it can delay the course of the disease, improve the quality of life and prolong the life of patients.

WIZ independently developed the diagnostic Kit for Urine microalbumin (fluorescence immunochromatographic assay), which is safe and non-invasive. The test results can be obtained within 10-15 minutes to help diagnose kidney failure caused by diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and monitoring the efficacy of kidney disease.
